The Janelas Farm (Quinta das Janelas) is a property with approximately 80ha, situated in the town of Óbidos. In days gone by, it was a noble farmhouse with its origins dating back to the 17th century. It underwent alterations in the 19th century and it consists of a residential building with a chapel as well as a group of large sized outbuildings where olive and wine presses, stables and a warehouse operated.
The aim is to prepare the Detailed Plan of the area during a first phase with a view to incorporating the tourist undertaking to be constructed by the Portuguese National Association of Pharmacies.
The programme proposed involves transforming the main house into a superior category hotel unit (“Resort”) by constructing an “Eco-Resort” and “Convalescent homes”, requalifying and adapting the outbuildings of the former agricultural undertaking to an “Events Building and Business Centre” and by constructing covered parking for 100 cars.
Besides the street layouts, parking and gardened areas, the exterior spaces will have the particularity of an American Mini Golf with approximately 25,000 m².
