Underground car park located in a historic area of Oporto near the Douro River in a square with 6m unevenness.

The park has a spiral shape that works on the descending way as access and parking lot. The interior spiral, separated and ascending, leads to the exit and around the statue of the Infante D. Henrique that already existed on the square centre and had to be protected throughout the construction.

The overall diameter of the car park is 27 meters and maximum depth of 17 meters. The access/parking lot is 15 meters wide.

For its construction it was used the top down system, (Berlin wall method). The stability of the excavation project and retaining walls has become more complex due to the difference in the dimensions of the ground and the existence of a train tunnel(in disuse) less than 10m away.

The intervention involved the rearrangement of the existing streets and infrastructures.
