Details

This floating restaurant is one of four built for the international exhibition EXPO98 held in Lisbon. The restaurant is moored to a covered walkway which gives direct access.

The single storey restaurant is supported on a pontoon at a level just over 4 metres above the water level. The construction of the project had to reconcile the different ways in which boats and buildings are built.

The bar and dining areas have glass facades that continue down to and below the water level. The roof is in two parts and extends past the restaurant area to provide cover to the external deck areas.
