This sculpture, designed by the American sculptor Janet Echelman, was erected in Matosinhos next to the sea in "Praça Cidade São Salvador" square
Supported by three guyed masts, the tallest being 57 meters high, the sculpture takes the form of a giant fishing net to celebrate the importance of fishing to the city of Matosinhos.
The net itself is suspended from a tubular steel ring that has a diameter of 42 meters.
