Details

Being a sustainable Complex was the principle of the Municipal Swimming Pools of São João da Madeira Project. This objective will result from the rational use and conservation of energy and water, presenting low environmental impact and pollutant emission, and also high energy efficiency, while performing the functions for which it was designed in comfortable conditions for its occupants.

In the development of the project, a commitment approach was taken, on the one hand, the assessment of indoor air and energy quality, carried out based on national criteria, since compliance results from a legal imposition, but in full interaction with the requirements of the LEED assessment which, in addition to those parameters, also assesses the sustainable planning of the built area, the materials used and their ecological or contaminating potential, the management of water, waste, etc.
